Arkestra is an intelligent, semantic web publishing system for organisations; it’s flexible, modular and extensible, and has a rich set of automated publishing tools.
A better system
Cardiff University School of Medicine urgently needed a better web CMS. Detailed specifications were drawn up to describe how an ideal institutional CMS should behave, but nothing available came close to meeting the requirements.
Arkestra was created to fill the need, which it did very successfully. The development of Arkestra continues, and now benefits from its adoption by other organisations and institutions.
Arkestra is a Django application, written in Python.
It integrates seamlessly into django CMS, making extensive use of the architecture django CMS provides.
Arkestra is free open-source software and available from GitHub - if you’d like to help improve Arkestra, your contribution will be warmly welcomed.
